Major contributory factors are ageing population, sedentary lifestyle and weight gain. Besides this, timely detection of the problem is not done. In the present study, a collective data of 30 patients was taken and their anthropometry, biochemical data, clinical signs and symptoms and dietary recall was used to assess their nutritional status. Diabetes was found to be associated with other co-morbidities also such as hypertension, anaemia, chronic kidney disease, and thrombocytopenia.
