Effectiveness of Modified Wedge for Post-Surgical Breast Cancer Patients in the Prevention and Management of Lymphedema

Abstract

Abstract: Lymphedema is a common post-breast surgery complication in cancer survivors. This study aimed to reduce the risk of lymphedema in the arms of breast cancer patients using a modified wedge. The findings suggest that wedge elevation of the limb can effectively reduce swelling and enhance mobility, independence, and productivity. Future studies are required to explore the relationship between socioeconomic factors and the accessibility of services for individuals affected by lymphedema.
